cstl x ITEM (LIVE) | Backseat Techno

hi friends! i’m excited to share something a little special with you. a recent Backseat session we recorded with my label mate ITEM. our friend vanpana invited us to jump in the back of his car for a one-hour live jam while cruising through Copenhagen, turning the city itself into part of the experience.

what started as a simple idea quickly became a beautiful ride, music flowing, streets passing by, and that unique mix of movement and focus that only a setting like this can create. there’s something inspiring about building a minimal techno journey while literally being on the move.

with a compact, stripped-down setup and a strong “less is more” mindset, we explored hypnotic grooves and subtle textures, letting the moment guide the direction. raw, spontaneous, and crafted with care, just how we like it.

a huge thank you to vanpana for the vision, dedication, and hard work behind making this happen. projects like this don’t come together without real passion and commitment, and we’re truly grateful to have been part of it.

if you’re in the mood for intimate, minimal techno vibes made with love, press play and join us for the ride. we hope you enjoy the session as much as we enjoyed creating it.

while waiting for what’s coming next, you should check the latest Various Artists compilation from @petitevictorycollective. this sampler is showcasing PVC’s roster and our closest friends from the community. if you’re looking for innovative electronic music, spanning from minimal techno, ambient, experimental, and more… there are definitely some gems hidden in this one!

** supporting this compilation is a simple but meaningful way to fund our DIY label and the global creative work around it. your contribution helps us cover the fees required to keep the label running. thank you for taking the time to support and care the way you do.
