11_03 | Techno Jam Session with Elektron Digitakt + Dreadbox Typhon

The anticipation of a new firmware. - I must admit that I always look at those firmware updates on the side line. When things work the way I need them to work, I tend to avoid upadtes of any kind. But I must admit that the OS 1.50 from Elektron for the Digitakt really got me hooked. The Slice and Werp features are so far my favorite. Feels like having a new engine.

The Dreadbox Typhon is really my favorite piece of gear when it comes to write music on the go. I got my first technical issue with the Typhon right before recording this jam the past weekend.

Every time I powered the Typhon On, the synth went totally Off straight after the loading page. I could not get any sound and/or control the engine at all. To make the synth work again I had to reboot it through the computer firmware. - I'm still not sure about what really happened here.

Have you ever experienced the same with this engine?

Here is what came out of my latest session. I decided to bring the Bpm up to 144 while trying to find the right balance between fast Techno and Chill. Slowly but surely aiming somewhere.

I hope you’ll enjoy the outcomes.

Live Recording with Ableton Live.
Gear used: Elektron Digitakt, Dreadbox Typhon.
