Full Bio

cstl is the moniker of French electronic musician based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Rooted in ambient and minimal techno, his music is a visceral exploration of rhythm and space. Every track is recorded live in a single take, favoring instinct over perfection. By embracing imperfection, limitations, and the unpredictability of the moment, cstl follows a simple but powerful philosophy: music in the now.

His debut EP ‘city of tears’, set the tone for his uncompromising approach. Stripped to its core, the project offered a stark, monochrome architecture of rhythm and repetition. “Not music for storytelling,” as cstl puts it, “but a moment in time.” It’s techno as pure machinery: raw, cold, and strangely human in its refusal to pretend.

Described by THE WAY OF EXILE as “a sonic experience that grabs you and doesn’t let go,” cstl's sound balances the mechanical and the emotional, tradition and innovation. His intimate live sets offer a hypnotic blend of function and feeling, making each performance a singular, unrepeatable experience.

cstl is also the founder of Petite Victory Collective, a nonprofit label and community based in Copenhagen. The collective focuses on emerging talents in experimental and electronic music, fostering a space where artists can explore and expand their sonic identities.
