FREE SAMPLE PACK | #garagenEP2021
The whole process behind “Garagen” EP started with limitations. 59perlen & I were looking for ways to combine different tracks with the idea to get a musical unity at the same time.
Instead of thinking outside the box and getting lost in tones of sounds and samples, we decided to find new ideas by repurposing the box (our creative process).
The result of this development is a sample pack. Half of the samples were chosen by 59perlen and the other half by me. The basic idea was that the tracks on the EP should be written exclusively with those samples. 30 Samples, no more, no less.
Being limited in our actions while working with the Digitakt really triggered our creative process. Even if our approach to music and to the Digitakt are originally very different, we managed to reach this musical unity we were looking for.
