59 PERLEN | Get to know the man behind my collab EP Garagen.
59 Perlen is the solo music project from Matthias Rosenkranz. He was born in Gemany and lives nowadays in Zurich, Switzerland.
Making electronic music since 20 years, he started releasing tracks started under the alias 59 Perlen in 2019 with his very first pop-oriented single "Arabische Nacht", which expresses his deep love for sounds from the Middle East. The release was accompanied by a music video, which was created in collaboration with the German / Costa Rican artist Bernardo San Rafael. - I totally felt for that song back then!
This being said, let me introduce you more personally to my friend Matthias. I got introduced to Matthias’s music over SoundCloud back in July 2019. I remember putting his track “Fly” on - and from there, I just enjoyed the ride. I listened to all his tracks in my kitchen, feeling the versatility and colors of his productions.
Matthias is really one of my favourite bedroom producer out there. Always sharing good vibes through his music, in a very smart, versatile and interesting way. Plus our virtual connection together is really genuine and on going. Even tho we only got to meet each other virtually, I’m happy to be able to call him a friend and genuine partner in jam today!
What I enjoy the most is definitely watching his videos with his Elektron Digitakt. I would never have started my dawless journey if it wasn’t for him. - Being used to primarily work and composing on my computer, I was really inspired trying to understand his musical process and journey while pushing those buttons.
You’re maybe wondering why I’m talking about 59 Perlen today. This is because we have a collaboration EP due to be release on January 29th! - I could not be more grateful to share a musical project with this inspiring soul. Our upcoming collab EP: Garagen shows our friendly and virtual connection. Here’s two minds sharing a commun passion for dawless productions.
2021 marks the year where Matthias and I finally decided to give life to a commun project taking advantage of our virtual network to celebrate our commun passion for electronic music and dawless productions. I really can’t wait to show you what we’ve managed to create together.
